Northern Lights Photography

Hi, I'm Anne Tardent - a wilderness and aurora guide in Finnish Lapland.

My love for photography started long before my first aurora tour, but it was leading expeditions into the Finnish wilderness that truly ignited my passion for night sky photography. Night after night, standing beneath the dancing lights with guests who had travelled from across the world to witness this magic, I became obsessed with capturing it perfectly.

Every photo in this guide was taken by me, on real aurora tours throughout the Lapland season. These aren't stock images or simulations - they're the result of endless nights spent in the cold, learning what works and what doesn't, so I can pass it on to fellow enthusiasts like you.
